ORDINANCE NO. 2024-106 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING ADULT RECOVERY COURT FUNDS IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $167,000 FROM THE OFFICE OF THE EXECUTIVE SECRETARY <br />AT THE SUPREME COURT OF VIRGINIA AND APPROPRIATING SAID <br />AMOUNT IN THE FY 2025 BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE SERVICE FUND <br />FOR USE FOR THE PORTSMOUTH ADULT RECOVERY COURT. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts Adult Recovery Court funds in the amount of <br />$167,000 from the Office of the Executive Secretary at the Supreme Court of Virginia and <br />appropriates said amount in the FY 2025 Behavioral Healthcare Service Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Department of Behavioral Healthcare <br />Services for the Portsmouth Adult Recovery Court. <br />3. That, to the extent not expended, the funds shall be deemed reappropriated <br />into the Behavioral Healthcare Service Fund budget annually until expended by the City <br />or withdrawn by the granting entity. <br />4. That a local match in the amount of $55,715 is required as a condition of <br />the funding, which match has previously been appropriated in the FY 2025 Behavioral <br />Healthcare Service Fund Budget. <br />5. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2025 Behavioral <br />Healthcare Service Fund Budget are increased by $167,000. <br />6. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on October 8, 2024. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
