ORDINANCE NO. 2024-101 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A COMMUNITY FLOOD PREPAREDNESS <br />GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $624,600 FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT <br />OF CONSERVATION AND RECREATION AND APPROPRIATING SAID <br />AMOUNT IN THE STORMWATER CATEGORY OF THE FY 2025 CAPITAL <br />IMPROVEMENT FUND BUDGET TO COMPLETE THE FINAL PHASE OF <br />THE CITY'S STORMWATER MODEL. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a Community Flood Preparedness grant in the <br />amount of $624,600 from the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation and <br />appropriating said amount in the Stormwater Category of the FY 2025 Capital <br />Improvement Fund Budget. <br />2. That the funds shall be used to complete the final phase of the City's <br />stormwater model. <br />3. That a 10% local match is required as a condition of the funding, which <br />match has previously been appropriated in the FY 2025 Capital Improvement Fund <br />Budget. <br />4. That the State Aid revenue source in the Stormwater Category of the FY <br />2025 Capital Improvement Fund Budget is increased by $624,600 and the Bond revenue <br />source in the Stormwater Category of the FY 2025 Capital Improvement Fund Budget is <br />decreased by $624,600. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 24, 2024. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
