ORDINANCE NO. 2024-46 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING FOUR -FOR -LIFE FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$71,960.72 FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, OFFICE OF <br />EMERGENCY SERVICES AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2024 <br />GRANTS FUND FOR EMS TRAINING, EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it accepts Four -For -Life funding in the amount of $71,960.72 from the <br />Virginia Department of Health, Office of Emergency Services and appropriates said amount in the <br />FY 2024 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds so appropriated shall be used by the Department of Fire, Rescue and <br />Emergency Services for EMS training, equipment and supplies. <br />3. That no local match is required as a condition of the funding. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2024 Grants Fund Budget are <br />increased by $71,960.72. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on May <br />28, 2024. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
