ORO= K�Lf <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING JAIL DIVERSION FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT <br />OF $50,451 FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH <br />AND DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT <br />IN THE FY 2024 BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE SERVICE FUND BUDGET FOR <br />JAIL DIVERSION PROGRAMS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts $50,451 from the Virginia Department of Behavioral <br />Health and Developmental Services and appropriates said amount in the FY 2024 <br />Behavioral Healthcare Service Fund budget. <br />2. That, to the extent not expended, the funds shall be deemed reappropriated <br />into the Behavioral Healthcare Service Fund budget annually until expended or recaptured. <br />3. That the funds shall be used by the Virginia Department of Behavioral <br />Health and Developmental Services for jail diversion programs. <br />4. That no local match is required as a condition of the funding. <br />5. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2024 Behavioral <br />Healthcare Service Fund budget are increased by $50,451. <br />6. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on July 11, 2023. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
