2023 -63 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEP'T'ING A VIRGINIA HOMELESS SOLU'T'IONS <br />PROGRAM GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,000 FROM THE DEPARTMENT <br />OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND APPROPRIATING <br />SAID SUM IN THE FY 2023 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THI; DEPARTMENT <br />OF SOCIAL SERVICES FOR PORTSMOUTH CONTINUUM OF CARE <br />PLANNING ACTIVITIES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of PortStIlOUIh. Virginia: <br />I. That it hereby accepts it Virginia I- lomeless Solutions Program grant in the <br />amount of S5,000 from the Department of 1- lousing and Community Development and <br />appropriates said sum in the FY 2023 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Department of Social Services for <br />Portsmouth Continuum of Care planning activities. <br />3. That it local match in the amount of S 1.667 is required as it condition of the <br />,rant, which match has previously been appropriated as print of the Social Services Fund <br />Budget. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2023 Grants Fund <br />Budget arc increased by $5,000. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at it meeting held <br />on June 27, 2023. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
