#t =I , • <br />�•lY 1 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING FEDERAL ASSET FORFEITURE FUNDS IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $285,044 RECEIVED FROM THE UNITED STATES DRUG <br />ENFORCEMENT ADMINISTRATION AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT <br />IN THE FY 2023 ASSET FORFEITURE FUND FOR USE BY THE PORTSMOUTH <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE, PORTSMOUTH COMMONWEALT'H'S ATT'ORNEY'S <br />OFFICE, AND PORTSMOUTH POLICE DEPARTMENT. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth. Virginia: <br />1. ]'hat it hereby accepts Federal Asset Forfeiture funds in the amount of <br />$285,044 and appropriates said amount in the FY 2023 Asset Forfeiture Fund Bud,,,---,. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Portsmouth Sheriff's Office, Portsmouth <br />Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, and Portsmouth Police Department for uses <br />authorized by the DOJ Equitable Sharing Guide. <br />3. That no local match is required as a condition of the funding. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2023 Asset Forfeiture <br />Fund Budget are increased by $28.5,044. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on June 27, 2023. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
