23 -49 <br />tir k" <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAM <br />SERVICES FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $389,327.47 FROM THE VIRGINIA <br />DEPARTMENT OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND DEVELOPMENTAL <br />SERVICES AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2023 <br />BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE SERVICES FUND BUDGET FOR USE BY BHS <br />TO PROVIDE TRANSITIONAL SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH SEVERE <br />MENTAL ILLNESS OR SUBSTANCE USE OR OTHER DISORDERS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts Transitional Housing Program Services funding in <br />the amount of $389,327.47 from the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and <br />Developmental Services and appropriates said amount in the FY 2023 Behavioral <br />Healthcare Services Fund Budget <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Department of Behavioral Healthcare <br />Services to provide support for individuals with severe mental illness or substance use or <br />other disorders. <br />3. That no local match is required as a condition of the funding. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2023 Behavioral <br />Healthcare Service Fund Budget are increased by $389,327.47. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on May 23, 2023. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
