4. That the sum of $9,192,941 be, and the same hereby is, appropriated to the PPS Food Services Fund for Fiscal Year 2023. 5. That the sum of $23,200,000 be, and the same hereby is, appropriated to the PPS Risk Management Fund for Fiscal Year 2023. 6. That the sum of $1,690,664 be, and the same hereby is, appropriated to the PPS Textbook Fund for Fiscal Year 2023. 7. That the FY 2023 Local Share of $59,901,284 shall be delivered to Portsmouth Public Schools in twelve equal monthly payments. 8. That the appropriation of any funds other than the Local Share to Portsmouth Public Schools by this or any other ordinance shall be subject to and conditioned upon the receipt of those funds from the federal government, the state government, or any other source of Portsmouth Public Schools Revenues as shown in Section 1 above. 9. That all unspent appropriations under this ordinance or any ordinance appropriating funds for the FY 2023 Portsmouth Public Schools budget shall lapse at the end of the fiscal year, as provided under Section 22.1 -100 of the Code of Virginia. Funds encumbered but unpaid by the end of the fiscal year will be deemed unspent appropriations that will require re- appropriation by the City Council. 10. That this ordinance shall take effect on July 1, 2022. ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth. Virginia at a meeting held on Nlay 10, 2022. Teste: City Clerk.
