EXHIBIT A Appendix A of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (2006) is amended as follows. Portions of Appendix A not shown below are not hereby amended. CHAPTER 38. WATER, SEWERS AND SEWAGE DISPOSAL Code Section Description Fee 38 -83 Meter rates for water supplied For all water that passes through meters, customers within the corporate limits of the city shall pay 4.95 per 100 cubic feet of water 38- supplied during the period from July 83(a) 1 2022 through June 30, 2023; and annual increases of five percent over the rate in effect at the end of the prior fiscal year beginning July 1, 2023, and each July 1 thereafter, until amended. For all water which passes through meters, customers of the City of Chesapeake who are served by Portsmouth and whose rates are not set by 38 contract shall pay $ 7.42 per 100 cubic feet of water supplied during 83(b) the period from Julv 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023; and annual increases of five percent over the rate in effect at the end of the prior fiscal year beginning July 1, 2422 2023, and each July 1 thereafter, until amended. For all water which passes through meters to the City of Suffolk pursuant to contract, the City of Suffolk shall pay $449 $4.60 per 100 cubic feet of 38 water supplied during the period from 83(d) July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023; and annual increases of five percent over the rate in effect at the end of the prior fiscal year beginning July 1, 2023, and each July 1 thereafter, until amended or as otherwise established by written contract. 38 -117 Sewer service rates: Charges for the disposal of sewage discharged into the city system will be based upon the water delivered to the premises as measured by meters used for this purpose at the rate of $;-@ $3.89 per 100 cubic feet during 38- the period from July 1, 2022 through 117(a) June 30, 2023; and annual increases of five percent over the rate in effect at the end of the prior fiscal year beginning July 1, 2024 2023, and each July 1 thereafter, until amended. The minimum charge for such service shall be 3.54 per month.
