AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,000 FROM <br />THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND <br />DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN <br />THE FY 2022 BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE SERVICE FUND FOR PROBLEM <br />GAMBLING PREVENTION SERVICES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts funding in the amount of $5,000 from the Virginia <br />Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and appropriates said <br />amount in the FY 2022 Behavioral Healthcare Service Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Department of Behavioral Healthcare <br />Services to fund problem gambling prevention services. <br />3. That no local match is required as a condition of receiving the funds <br />except as may be provided in the Community Services Performance Contract with the <br />Commonwealth approved by City Council Resolution R -21 -22 adopted on August 10, <br />2021. Any required local match has previously been appropriated as part of the FY 2022 <br />Behavioral Healthcare Service Fund Budget. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2022 Behavioral <br />Healthcare Service Fund Budget are increased by $5,000. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on February 22, 2022. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
