#gjlO 1;69 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM <br />GRANT FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $377,436.65 FROM THE VIRGINIA <br />DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN <br />THE FY 2023 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS & <br />RECREATION. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts Summer Food Service Program grant funding in the <br />amount of $377,436.65 from the Virginia Department of Education and appropriates said <br />amount in the FY 2023 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Department of Parks & Recreation for <br />the Summer Food Service Program. <br />3. That no local match is required as a condition of the funding. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2023 Grants Fund <br />Budget are increased by $377,436.65. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 13, 2022. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
