2.,022 -67 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $537,599 <br />FROM THE PORTSMOUTH MUSEUMS FOUNDATION AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2023 GRANTS FUND FOR USE <br />BY THE MUSEUMS DEPARTMENT FOR THE EXPANSION AND UPGRADE <br />OF THE BODYWORKS EXHIBIT AT THE CHILDREN'S MUSEUM OF <br />VIRGINIA. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts funding in the amount of $537,599 from the <br />Portsmouth Museums Foundation and appropriates said amount in the FY 2023 Grants <br />Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Museums Department for the <br />expansion and upgrade of the Bodyworks exhibit at the Children's Museum of Virginia. <br />3. That the City expresses its gratitude to Sentara Healthcare for the donation <br />that is the source of the funding hereby appropriated. <br />4. That no match from the City is required as a condition of the funding. <br />5. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2023 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $537,599. <br />6. That the City Manager is authorized to execute such agreements or <br />documents with the Portsmouth Museums Foundation as may be required to effectuate <br />the intent of this Ordinance and the renovation and expansion of the Bodyworks exhibit. <br />7. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 13, 2022. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
