11RUINARM lu, 21 -25 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING PLANNING GRANT FUNDING IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $38,410 FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND <br />URBAN DEVELOPMENT THROUGH THE PORTSMOUTH HOMELESS AREA <br />CONSORTIUM CONTINUUM OF CARE AND APPROPRIATING SAID <br />AMOUNT TO THE FY 2021 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT <br />OF SOCIAL SERVICES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts planning grant funding in the amount of $38,410 <br />from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Portsmouth <br />Homeless Area Consortium Continuum of Care and appropriates said amount to the FY <br />2021 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Department of Social Services for <br />eligible planning activities. <br />3. That a 251/(- local match is required as a condition of receiving the funds, <br />which match has been previously appropriated as part of the Department of Social <br />Services budget. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2021 Grants Fund <br />Budget are increased by $38,410. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at an electronic <br />meeting held on April 27, 2021. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
