R -21 -26 <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF VIRGINIA TO <br />AMEND THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA BY <br />AMENDING SECTION 12.09 REGARDING RECALL OF ELECTIVE OFFICERS. <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />That the General Assembly of Virginia is hereby requested to amend the Charter of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, as follows: <br />Amend Chapter 12. Initiative, Referendum and Recall, Section 12.09 (Recall of <br />elective officers), as shown on Exhibit A hereto. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held on <br />September 14, 2021. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
