R -21 -17 <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF VIRGINIA TO <br />AMEND THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA BY <br />AMENDING SECTION 3.11 REGARDING NONINTERFERENCE IN APPOINTMENTS <br />OR REMOVALS. <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />That the General Assembly of Virginia is hereby requested to amend the Charter of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, as follows: <br />Amend Chapter 3. City Council, section 3.11 (Noninterference in appointments or <br />removals), as shown on Exhibit A hereto. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held on July <br />13, 2021. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
