R -21 -42 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE GRANT OF A UTILITY EASEMENT TO <br />VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY HAVING AN APPROXIMATE <br />WIDTH OF 5 FEET ACROSS A PORTION OF 614 QUEEN STREET (TAX PARCEL <br />0018 - 0670). <br />WHEREAS, Virginia Electric and Power Company has requested that the City grant an <br />easement across a portion of City -owned property having an address of 614 Queen Street (Tax <br />Parcel 0018- 0670); and <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of the easement is to address voltage issues in the 600 Block of <br />London Street; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed the location of the requested easement and <br />determined that it will not have a negative impact on City facilities; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia that it hereby approves and authorizes the grant of the requested easement to Virginia <br />Electric and Power Company and that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute such <br />documents or instruments as may be necessary or desirable in furtherance of the intent of this <br />Resolution. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on <br />December 14, 2021. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
