R -20 -24 <br />A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING A DECLARATION OF LOCAL EMERGENCY <br />DUE TO THE THREAT OF HURRICANE ISAIAS IMPACTING PORTSMOUTH, <br />VIRGINIA. <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Portsmouth, acting in her official <br />capacity as Director of Emergency Management, did on August 3, 2020 declare a Local <br />Emergency due to the threat of Hurricane Isaias impacting Portsmouth, Virginia; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Article XIII of Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, it is now incumbent on City Council to take official action ratifying said <br />declaration of emergency; <br />NOW THEREFORE RE BE I4' RI1:SO LN ED <br />r; M,r,n[h 1, t I I), 1 <br />'MaCllccl hCrek��.
