EXHIBIT A <br />Appendix A of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (2006) is amended as <br />follows. Portions of Appendix A not shown below are not hereby amended. <br />CHAPTER 38. WATER, SEWERS AND SEWAGE DISPOSAL <br />Code <br />Section Description <br />38 -83 Meter rates for water supplied <br />For all water that passes through meters, customers within the corporate <br />limits of the city shall pay W $4� 5.78 per 1,000 gallons or $' <br />$4.32 per 100 cubic feet of water supplied during the period from July 1, <br />38 2020 � through December 31 �, 2020:8 (2) $6.00 per <br />83(a) 1,000 gallons or $4.49 per 100 cubic feet of water supplied during the <br />period from January 1, 2021 through June 30, 2021; and 3) annual <br />increases of five percent over the rate in effect at <br />the end of the prior fiscal year beginning July 1, 2414 2021, and each July <br />1 thereafter, until amended. <br />For all water which passes through meters, customers of the City of <br />Chesapeake who are served by Portsmouth and whose rates are not set by <br />contract shall pay W $ $8.66 per 1,000 gallons or 6.48 per <br />100 cubic feet of water supplied during the period from July 1, 2Q4=; 2020 <br />38- through December 31, 24�8 2020:= (2) $9.00 per 1.000 gallons or <br />83(b) $6.73 per 100 cubic feet of water supplied during the period from Tanuary <br />1. 2021 through June 30, 2021 -and 3) annual increases of five percent <br />over the rate in effect at the end of the prior fiscal <br />beginning July 1, 2414 2021, and each July 1 thereafter, until <br />amended. <br />For all water which passes through meters to the City of Suffolk pursuant <br />to contract, the City of Suffolk shall pay 1a$^ 5.31 per 1,000 gallons <br />or $ 3.97 per 100 cubic feet of water supplied during the period <br />from July 1, ; 2020 through December 31, 24�9 2020.E <br />38- $5.52 per 1.000 gallons or $4.17 per 100 cubic feet of water supplied <br />83(d) during the period from January 1. 2021 through June 30, 2021; and 3) <br />annual increases of five percent over the rate in <br />effect at the end of the prior fiscal year beginning July 1, 2414 2021, and <br />each July 1 thereafter, until amended or as otherwise established by <br />written contract. <br />38 -117 Sewer service rates: <br />Fee <br />
