&2020-118 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING CARES ACT FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$7,930,124 FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND <br />APPROPRATING SAID AMOUNT INTO THE FY 2021 PORTSMOUTH <br />PUBLIC SCHOOLS GRANTS FUND BUDGET. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it accepts the amount of $7,930,124 of CARES Act funding from the <br />Virginia Department of Education and appropriates said amount into the FY 2021 <br />Portsmouth Public Schools Grants Fund Budget. <br />2. That the estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2021 Portsmouth <br />Public Schools Grants Fund Budget are increased by $7,930,124. <br />3. That the revised funding appropriation for the FY 2021 Portsmouth Public <br />Schools Grants Fund Budget is as shown on Exhibit A hereto. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at an electronic <br />meeting held on November 10, 2020. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
