UNDUNCE 2020 -89 ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z -20 -02 BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: 1. That the portion of the zoning map attached to and made a part of the City of Portsmouth Zoning Ordinance, which now zones as UR, Urban Residential the property described in Petition for Zoning Amendment Number Z- 20 -02, is hereby amended and changed so as to show said property zoned as IL, Industrial, and that said property is hereby zoned as IL, Industrial. 2. That the property affected by this ordinance by being zoned from UR, Urban Residential to IL, Industrial is furthermore described as follows: Z -20 -02 801 Commerce Street (Tax Parcel 0164 -0170) ALL THOSE certain lots, pieces or parcels of land, with the buildings and improvements thereon, situate, lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia and known, numbered and designated as parts of Lot Numbers Thirty -Seven (37), Thirty -Eight (38), Thirty -Nine (39), Forty (40), and Forty -One (41) on the amended plat of Port Norfolk Investment Company, duly recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, Virginia, in Map Book 9, Page 15; and bounded and described as follows, to -wit: BEGINNING at the southwest intersection of Commerce Street and Douglas Avenue, and from thence running south along the west side of Douglas Avenue twenty -four (24) feet, more or less, to the line of the right of way of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad (formerly the Norfolk and Carolina Railroad); thence along the line of said right of way in a southwesterly direction to the intersection of said right of way and the eastern line of the alley shown on said plat; thence northerly along the eastern line of said alley and parallel with Douglas Avenue one hundred and twenty -five (125) feet more or less, to the south side of Commerce Street; thence east along the south side of Commerce Street one hundred forty (140) feet to the point of beginning. IT BEING the same property conveyed to Stewart Leasing, LLC, a Virginia limited liability company, by Deed of Bargain and Sale from Benjamin Harrison, Jr. dated September 17, 2019 and recorded in the Portsmouth Circuit Court Clerk's Office as Instrument Number 190009400.
