UNDUNCE 2020 -89 <br />ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z -20 -02 <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That the portion of the zoning map attached to and made a part of the City <br />of Portsmouth Zoning Ordinance, which now zones as UR, Urban Residential the <br />property described in Petition for Zoning Amendment Number Z- 20 -02, is hereby <br />amended and changed so as to show said property zoned as IL, Industrial, and that said <br />property is hereby zoned as IL, Industrial. <br />2. That the property affected by this ordinance by being zoned from UR, <br />Urban Residential to IL, Industrial is furthermore described as follows: <br />Z -20 -02 <br />801 Commerce Street <br />(Tax Parcel 0164 -0170) <br />ALL THOSE certain lots, pieces or parcels of land, with the <br />buildings and improvements thereon, situate, lying and being in the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia and known, numbered and designated <br />as parts of Lot Numbers Thirty -Seven (37), Thirty -Eight (38), <br />Thirty -Nine (39), Forty (40), and Forty -One (41) on the amended <br />plat of Port Norfolk Investment Company, duly recorded in the <br />Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, <br />Virginia, in Map Book 9, Page 15; and bounded and described as <br />follows, to -wit: BEGINNING at the southwest intersection of <br />Commerce Street and Douglas Avenue, and from thence running <br />south along the west side of Douglas Avenue twenty -four (24) feet, <br />more or less, to the line of the right of way of the Atlantic Coast <br />Line Railroad (formerly the Norfolk and Carolina Railroad); <br />thence along the line of said right of way in a southwesterly <br />direction to the intersection of said right of way and the eastern <br />line of the alley shown on said plat; thence northerly along the <br />eastern line of said alley and parallel with Douglas Avenue one <br />hundred and twenty -five (125) feet more or less, to the south side <br />of Commerce Street; thence east along the south side of Commerce <br />Street one hundred forty (140) feet to the point of beginning. <br />IT BEING the same property conveyed to Stewart Leasing, LLC, a <br />Virginia limited liability company, by Deed of Bargain and Sale <br />from Benjamin Harrison, Jr. dated September 17, 2019 and <br />recorded in the Portsmouth Circuit Court Clerk's Office as <br />Instrument Number 190009400. <br />
