040MACE N8.20-4-64 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING DAM SAFETY, FLOOD PREVENTION AND <br />PROTECTION GRANTS IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $12,952.50 FROM THE <br />DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION AND RECREATION AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT TO THE FY 2021 GRANTS FUND FOR USE <br />BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC UTILITIES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts Dam Safety, Flood Prevention and Protection grants <br />in the total amount of $12,952.50 from the Department of Conservation and Recreation <br />and appropriates said amount in the FY 2021 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used for professional engineering inspections and <br />emergency plan development. <br />3. That a 10017 local cash match is required as a condition of the grants, <br />which match has previously been appropriated as part of the FY 2021 Public Utilities <br />Fund Budget. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2021 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $12,952.50 <br />5. That the City Manager is authorized to execute such agreements as are <br />necessary or desirable to obtain the grant funds. <br />6. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at an electronic <br />meeting held on July 16, 2020. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
