AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING COVID -19 EMERGENCY FUNDS IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $40,000 FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND APPROPRIATING SAID SUM IN THE <br />FY 2021 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL <br />SERVICES TO SUPPORT OPERATIONAL COSTS OF THE PORTSMOUTH <br />HOMELESS ACTION CONSORTIUM CONTINUUM OF CARE MEMBER <br />AGENCIES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts COVID -19 Emergency Funds in the amount of <br />$40,000 from the Department of Housing and Community Development and appropriates <br />said sum in the FY 2021 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Department of Social Serx ices to <br />support operational costs for the Portsmouth Homeless Action Consortium Continuum of <br />Care Member Agencies. <br />3. That no local match is required as a condition of the funding. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2021 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $40,000. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at an electronic <br />meeting held on July 16, 2020. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
