����ii C�-'9� o41Li .. <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE 2018 -95 TO RESCIND THE <br />APPROPRIATION OF $126,908 FROM THE FY 2019 PORTSMOUTH PUBLIC <br />SCHOOLS GRANT FUND. <br />WHEREAS, Portsmouth Public Schools estimated that it had a balance of <br />$126,908 in unexpended funds in the PPS Grant Fund as of the close of FY 2018 and the <br />Portsmouth School Board requested City Council to re- appropriate the unexpended funds <br />to the FY 2019 PPS Grant Fund; and <br />WHEREAS, on October 9, 2018 City Council adopted Ordinance 2018 -95 to re- <br />appropriate the funds; and <br />WHEREAS, upon completion of the PPS Comprehensive Annual Financial <br />Report for FY 2018 it was determined that the initial estimate was erroneous and that <br />PPS did not have a balance of unexpended funds in the PPS Grant Fund as of the close of <br />FY 2018; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it amends Ordinance 2018 -95 to rescind the appropriation of <br />$126,908 to the FY 2019 Portsmouth Public Schools Grant Fund. <br />2. That the estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2019 Portsmouth <br />Public Schools Grant Fund budget are decreased by $126,908. <br />3. That the revised funding appropriation for the FY 2019 Portsmouth Public <br />Schools Grant Fund budget is as shown on Exhibit A hereto. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on March 26, 2019. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
