ORDM KOR <br />2L19- _ 74 <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN ARTICLE II AND ARTICLE <br />III OF CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, <br />VIRGINIA (2006) BY AMENDING SECTION 30 -122 AND SECTION 30 -243 FOR <br />THE PURPOSE OF CONDITIONING THE ADJUSTMENT OF RETIREMENT <br />ALLOWANCES AND THE PAYMENT OF SUPPLEMENTS UNDER THE <br />PORTSMOUTH SUPPLEMENTAL RETIREMENT SYSTEM AND THE <br />PORTSMOUTH FIRE AND POLICE RETIREMENT SYSTEM. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That Article II of Chapter 30 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia (2006) be amended and reordained by amending Section 30 -122 (Adjustments <br />of retirement allowances) as provided on Exhibit A hereto. <br />2. That Article III of Chapter 30 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia (2006) be amended and reordained by amending Section 30 -243 (Adjustments <br />of retirement allowances) as provided on Exhibit A hereto. <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting <br />held on October 22, 2019. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
