1� � 2018 -114 <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN SUBSECTIONS (B) AND (F) <br />OF SECTION 35 -14 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, <br />VIRGINIA (2006) (RELIEF FROM ERRONEOUS ASSESSMENTS AND <br />ERRONEOUS PAYMENTS GENERALLY) FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />STREAMLINING THE PROCESS FOR REFUNDING ERRONEOUS <br />PAYMENTS OF LOCAL LEVIES, TAXES, LICENSES OR FEES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That Section 35 -14 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (2006) <br />be amended and reordained by amending subsections (b) and (f) as shown on Exhibit A <br />hereto. <br />2. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately on the date of its <br />adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting <br />held on November 27, 2018. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
