ORDINANCE 11L=-12 <br />ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z -18 -04 <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That the portion of the zoning map attached to and made a part of the City <br />of Portsmouth Zoning Ordinance which now zones as URH, High Density Urban <br />Residential the property described in Petition for Zoning Amendment Number Z- 18 -04, <br />is hereby amended and changed so as to show said property zoned as GMU, General <br />Mixed Use, and that said property is hereby zoned as GMU, General Mixed Use. <br />2. That the property affected by this ordinance by being zoned from URH, <br />High Density Urban Residential to GMU, General Mixed Use is furthermore described as <br />follows: <br />Z -18 -04 <br />4940 West Norfolk Road <br />(Tar Parcel 0721 -0030) <br />ALL THAT certain lot, piece or parcel of land with buildings and <br />improvements thereon, situate, lying and being in the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, known, numbered and designated as Parcel <br />B -1 on that certain plat entitled "Resubdivision of Lots 17, 18 and <br />Part of Lots 15, 16 and 19, Subdivision of Lalia J. Greene, <br />Property Near Churchland, Portsmouth, Virginia, for West Norfolk <br />Associates," dated April 8, 1985, prepared by Hoggard /Sure <br />Associates, Surveyors /Planners /Engineers, which said plat is duly <br />recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, in Map Book 13, at Page 129, reference to <br />which said plat is hereby made for a more particular description of <br />the property. <br />Also described in the ALTA Physical Survey of Parcel B prepared <br />by ND Engineering Company, dated 11/7/12, as follows: <br />Commencing at a pin found, said pin located at the northeast <br />intersection of West Norfolk Road and Cedar Lane; thence <br />proceeding along the eastern right -of -way line of Cedar Lane 68.64 <br />feet on a bearing of North 02 degrees 16 minutes and 21 seconds <br />west to a nail found at the True Point of Beginning; said point of <br />beginning marking the approximate centerline of an existing <br />asphalt drive; thence continuing around the subject parcel in a <br />clockwise direction the following courses and distances: N <br />87 °43'39" E a distance of 237.42' to another nail found in said <br />asphalt drive; thence S 02'16'2 F E a distance of 75.00' to a nail <br />set marking the southeast corner of Parcel B -1 at a point located on <br />
