OROM2017 -44 <br />�tt� � <br />AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $334,903 OF FEMA GRANT FUNDING <br />AND INSURANCE PROCEEDS RECEIVED AS A RESULT OF HURRICANE <br />MATTHEW TO THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE CLASSIFICATION <br />OF THE FY 2017 GRANT FUND BUDGET FOR THE PORTSMOUTH PUBLIC <br />SCHOOLS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it appropriates the sum of $334,903 to the Operation and <br />Maintenance Classification of the FY 2017 Portsmouth Public Schools Grant Fund <br />budget. <br />2. That the source of the appropriation is funding received to reimburse <br />repairs to Westhaven Elementary School necessitated by Hurricane Matthew, including a <br />grant of $193,797 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and insurance <br />proceeds in the amount of $141,106 from VACORP. <br />3. That the estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2017 Portsmouth <br />Public Schools Grant Fund budget are increased by $334,903. <br />4. That the revised categorical funding appropriations for the FY 2017 <br />Portsmouth Public Schools Grant Fund Budget are as shown on Exhibit A hereto. • <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on June 13, 2017. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
