Q%36 <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN SECTION 32 -285 OF <br />CHAPTER 32 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA <br />(2006) AND APPENDIX A OF THE CODE TO ESTABLISH FEES FOR FOOD <br />TRUCK PERMIT APPLICATIONS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That Section 32 -285 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia <br />(2006) be amended and reordained to read as follows: <br />Sec. 32 -285. - Licensing requirements. <br />Except as provided in subsection 32- 284(c), no person or business entity, <br />including religious or charitable organizations, shall operate a food truck without a food <br />truck permit issued by the city. The city manager is hereby authorized to establish food <br />truck permit application and approval requirements. _Eyery application for a food <br />Hermit shall be acoomnanied by an anol.catign fQe, as set forth in a pendix A to this Code <br />Vendors shall display or keep within their food truck proof of all required permits and <br />licenses at all times during operation. <br />2. That the fees set out in appendix A of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia (2006) be amended as set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and made a part <br />hereof. <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on July 1, 2017. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held <br />on May 9, 2017. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
