AN ORDINANCE "TO AMEND AND REORDAIN CHAPTER 7 OF THE ('ODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA (2006) BY AMENDING SECTION 7 -1:35 TO ELIMINATE PERMIT RATE LANGUAGE WHICH IS DUPLICATIVE OF APPENDIX A Oh THE CODI?. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth. Virginia: I . That Chapter- 7 of' the Code of the City of Portsn3out11, Virginia (2006) be amended and reordained by amending Section 7 -135 to read as follows: Sec, 7 -135. - Same— Mechanical permits and inspections. (c) For the installation of one kitchen hood vent and not more than three bathroom rents in a single - Family dwelling, the five shall be as set firth in appendix A to this Code. (d) For the installation of standpipes, the fee shall be as set forth in appendix A to this Code fOr each riser, plus an additional amount for each floor served by that riser. (e) For .ullusenlent ride permits and inspections. the fees shall be as set forth in appendix A to this Code and the categories of fees shall be construed with gc neral reference to the Virginia Amusement Device Regulations. All fees shall be reduced by 75 percent if the applicant provides ail approved cerrtitietl third party inspector for the amtrscrnent devices. Thesc fees shall be collected for each ride inspected. For all other - structures at carnivals the permit fee shall he as set firth in appendix A to this Code per structure with inspection required. ?.
