TABLE 40.1-5.1 (N)(2): STACKING LANES FOR PARKING LOT <br />ENTRANCES <br />NUMBER Of OFF - STREET PARKING SPACES MINIMUM SLACKING LANEDISTANCIE (FEE) <br />1- <br />1 -24 <br />10 <br />25 -49 <br />20 <br />50 -249 <br />40 <br />250 or more <br />100 <br />NOTES: <br />(1) Entrances into parking structures may be cred.ted towards the stacking lane <br />distance requirement provided the parking structure entrance is accessed from <br />a development driveway and not a primary drive aisle. <br />(2) Stacking lane distance is measured within the driveway apron from the right - <br />of -way line along the centerline of the stacking lane to Its Intersection with the <br />centerline of the adjacent drive aisle. <br />(a) Design and Layout <br />Required stacking spaces are subject to the following design and layout <br />standards. <br />(i) Size <br />Stacking spaces shall be a minimum of eight feet by 20 feet in <br />size. <br />(ii) Location <br />Stacking space~ shall not impede onsite or offsite traffic <br />movements or movements into or out of off - street parking areas. <br />(iii) Design <br />Stacking spaces shall be separated from other internal driveways <br />by raised medians if deemed necessary by the Planning Director <br />for traffic movement and safety. <br />(4) Medians in Driveway Entrances <br />Medians may be provided within driveway entrances provided: <br />(a) The median is surrounded by valley or "roll" curbing, <br />(b) No signage is included within sight triangles; <br />(c) Planted material within the median is limited to understory trees, shrubs, <br />and ground cover to not block sight triangles and sight distance; and <br />(d) The minimum aisle width is maintained for each travel and turning lane. <br />(0) Driveway Standards <br />(1) Any required parking area shall have direct access to a public or private street via <br />a driveway. <br />(2) Unless otherwise approved by the City Engineer, no driveway shall exceed 50 <br />feet in width at the curbline or more than 35 feet at the front lot line. <br />(3) One -way driveways shall have a minimum width of 15 feet, and two -way <br />driveways shall be at least 24 feet wide. <br />(4) Driveway aprons shall be constructed to standards furnished by the City Engineer <br />and shall be provided between the curbline and the front lot line. <br />A -36 <br />
