ORDWAW 0...__„ -83 AN ORDINANCE TO RE- APPROPRIATE UNEXPENDED FUNDS FROM THE FY 2017 PORTSMOUTH PUBLIC SCHOOLS (PPS) GENERAL FUND AND RISK MANAGEMENT FUND BUDGETS IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $3,457,539 BY CLASSIFICATION TO THE OVERALL AND FIRST QUARTER FY 2018 PPS GENERAL FUND BUDGET. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: 1. That it appropriates the sum of $3,457,539 to the overall and First Quarter FY 2018 Portsmouth Public Schools General Fund budget, in the following amounts by classification: $1,101,866 in the Instruction classification; $297,352 in the Administration, Attendance & Health classification; $208,294 in the Pupil Transportation classification; $1,545,860 in the Operation and Maintenance classification; and $304,167 in the Technology classification. 2. That the source of the appropriation is $2,821,539 appropriated by the City to the FY 2017 Portsmouth Public Schools General Fund which was not expended prior to June 30, 2017 and $636,000 appropriated by the City to the FY 2017 Portsmouth Public Schools Risk Management Fund which was not expended prior to June 30, 2017. 3. That the estimated revenues and expenditures in the overall and First Quarter FY 2018 Portsmouth Public Schools General Fund operating budget are increased by $3,457,539, including $1,101,866 in the Instruction classification; $297,352 in the Administration, Attendance & Health classification; $208,294 in the Pupil Transportation classification; $1,545,860 in the Operation and Maintenance classification; and $304,167 in the Technology classification. 4. That the revised overall and First Quarter categorical funding appropriations for the FY 2018 Portsmouth Public Schools General Fund budget are as shown on Exhibit A hereto. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on September 12, 2017. Teste: City Clerk
