GRONA No.. 2017 -81 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE EDUCATION CATEGORY OF THE FY <br />2018 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND BUDGET TO ESTABLISH THREE <br />NEW PROJECTS AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO EACH, INCLUDING <br />$2,308,838 TO THE INTERACTIVE WHITE BOARD PANELS PROJECT, <br />$452,628 TO THE CHURCHLAND MIDDLE SCHOOL RESTROOM <br />RENOVATION PROJECT, AND $550,000 TO THE JAMES HURST <br />ELEMENTARY AND CHURCHLAND PRIMARY AND INTERMEDIATE <br />ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS CLASSROOMS PROJECT. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby amends the Education category of the FY 2018 Capital <br />Improvement Fund budget to establish a new project called the Interactive White Board <br />Panels project. <br />2. That it hereby amends the Education category of the FY 2018 Capital <br />Improvement Fund budget to establish a new project called the Churchland Middle <br />School Restroom Renovation project. <br />3. That it hereby amends the Education category of the FY 2018 Capital <br />Improvement Fund budget to establish a new project called the James Hurst Elementary <br />and Churchland Primary and Intermediate Elementary Schools Classrooms project. <br />4. That it hereby appropriates funds to each newly created project in the <br />following amounts: $2,308,838 to the Interactive White Board Panels project; $452,628 <br />to the Churchland Middle School Restroom Renovation project; and $550,000 to the <br />James Hurst Elementary and Chuchland Primary and Intermediate Elementary Schools <br />Classroom project. <br />5. That the sources of the funds appropriated are $3,058,838 in funding <br />appropriated to the FY 2017 Portsmouth Public Schools General Fund budget but not <br />expended by June 30, 2017 and $252,628 in funding appropriated to the FY 2017 <br />Portsmouth Public Schools Risk Management Fund budget but not expended by June 30, <br />2017. <br />6. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2018 Capital <br />Improvement Fund are increased by $3,311,466. <br />7. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 12, 2017. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
