UPTOWN D2 DISTRICT FORM-BASED CODE January 26, 2016 <br />D. Tandem Parking <br />1. Tandem parking is allowed for: <br />a. Single-family projects; and <br />b. Multifamily projects and the RESiDENrIAL component of mixed-use projects. <br />2. 2 parking spaces in tandem shall have a combined minimum dimension of 9 feet in <br />width by 34 feet in length. <br />3. Up to 75 percent of the total off-street parking spaces provided for RESiDENriAL projects <br />may incorporate tandem parking. For RESiDENriAL projects, both tandem spaces shall be <br />assigned to the same dwelling unit. Tandem parking may not be used to provide guest <br />parking. <br />706. Surface Parking Lot Plantings <br />A. New Development <br />1. The edge of any surface parking lot adjacent to a single family (detached or attached) <br />lot shall have be planted with canopy shade trees from the Tree List in Part 5, Urban <br />Standards, planted at an average distance not to exceed 40 feet on center and <br />aligned 3 to 7 feet behind the coMMON Lor LINE. <br />2. Edges along a COMMON LOT LINE Shall have a STREET WALL, GARDEN WALL Or PRIVACY FENCE. <br />707. Loading Facilities <br />A. No loading facilities are required. <br />B. Where loading facilities are provided, they shall be located to the rear and ALLEY side of <br />buildings. <br />66 <br />
