. `~ ~ 2016-52 <br />AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF $658,567 IN THE <br />INSTRUCTION CLASSIFICATION OF THE FY 2017 GRANT FUND BUDGET <br />FOR THE PORTSMOUTH PUBLIC SCHOOLS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it appropriates the sum of $658,567 in the Instruction Classification <br />of the FY 2017 Portsmouth Public Schools Grant Fund Budget. <br />2. That the sources of the appropriation are (a) $55,237 in state grant funds <br />appropriated by the City to the FY 2016 PPS Grant Fund which were encumbered but <br />not expended prior to June 30, 2016 and (b) $603,330 in state grant funds appropriated by <br />the City to the FY 2016 PPS Grant Fund which were neither encumbered nor expended <br />prior to June 30, 2016. <br />3. That the estimated revenues and expenditures in the Instruction <br />Classification of the FY 2017 Portsmouth Public Schools Grant Fund budget are <br />increased by $658,567. <br />4. That the revised categorical funding appropriations for the FY 2017 <br />Portsmouth Public Schools Grant Fund Budget are as shown on Exhibit A hereto. <br />S. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on July 26, 2016. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
