In order to provide the funding for the Portsmouth Public Schools' Fiscal <br />Year 2016 - 2017 Grant Fund, that the sum of $18,650,117 be, and the same hereby is <br />appropriated to the Grant Fund for Fiscal Year 2016 - 2017 which begins on July 1, 2016 <br />and ends on June 30, 2017. <br />Grant Fund: <br />Instruction <br />Administration, Attendance, and Health <br />Pupil Transportation <br />Operations and Maintenance <br />Technology <br />Total Grant Funds <br />$ 15,050,379 <br />1,380,708 <br />274,085 <br />36,527 <br />1,908,418 <br />$ 18,650,117 <br />4. All unspent appropriations under this ordinance shall lapse at the end of the <br />fiscal year, as provided under Section 22.1-100 of the Code of Virginia. Funds encumbered <br />but unpaid by the end of the fiscal year will be deemed unspent appropriations that will <br />require re-appropriation by the City Council. <br />5.
