2 a~ 3,2 <br />. a. .. ~ -. <br />AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $219,174 OF TELEPHONE <br />COMMISSION REVENUE IN THE FY 2015-16 GENERAL FUND OPERATING <br />BUDGET FOR THE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT TO FUND PART-TIME <br />POSITIONS AND OTHER OPERATING EXPENSES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. -That it hereby appropriates the sum of $219,174 in the FY 2015-16 <br />General Fund Operating Budget for the Sheriff's Department. <br />2. That $180,000 of the appropriation shall be used to fund part-time <br />positions and $39,174 of the appropriation shall be used to fund other operating expenses. <br />3. That the source of the appropriation shall be Telephone Commission <br />Revenue collected by the Sheriff's Department, including $5,199 from the Donations <br />Fund, $98,975 in new revenue received in FY 2014-15 from the Unassigned General <br />Fund Balance, and $115,000 in unexpended FY 2014-15 funds from the Unassigned <br />General Fund Balance. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2015-16 General <br />Fund Operating Budget for the Sheriff's Department are increased by $219,174. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on July 1, 2015. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on June 9, 2015. <br />
