R-14-38 <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING PARTICIPATION IN THE VIRGINIA <br />DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FISCAL YEAR 2016 REVENUE <br />SHARING PROGRAM TO BEGIN THE DESIGN PROCESS FOR THE <br />REPLACEMENT OF THE PARADISE CREEK BRIDGE. <br />WHEREAS, the planned replacement of Paradise Creek Bridge is estimated to <br />cost $8.6 million; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth desires to submit a revenue sharing <br />application for an allocation of $250,000 through the Virginia Department of <br />Transportation Fiscal Year 2016 Revenue Sharing Program; and <br />WHEREAS, these funds are requested to begin the design process for <br />replacement of the bridge. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia that it hereby supports the application for an allocation of $250,000 <br />through the Virginia Department of Transportation Revenue Sharing Program. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager or his designee is <br />authorized to execute project administration agreements for any approved revenue <br />sharing projects. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on October 28, 2014. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
