R-14-33 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A <br />DRAINAGE EASEMENT TO THE CITY OF SUFFOLK ON PROPERTY OWNED BY <br />THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH ON PRUDEN BOULEVARD IN SUFFOLK FOR THE <br />PURPOSE OF REPLACING A CULVERT, IMPROVING DRAINAGE, AND <br />ALLEVIATING FLOODING PROBLEMS. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Suffolk has requested a drainage easement on certain property <br />owned by the City of Portsmouth and located on Pruden Boulevard, the said property being <br />identified in the records of the Suffolk City Assessor as Tax Parce134* 10; and <br />WHEREAS, the easement is necessary for the purposes of replacing a culvert, improving <br />drainage, and alleviating flooding problems; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an easement to the City of <br />Suffolk, Virginia and such other documents as may be required to effectuate the easement, and to <br />take all other steps necessary to grant the requested easement. <br />ADOPTED at a meeting of the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia held on <br />October 14, 2014. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
