~~~~~~'~'~ ~~e? ° - 3 or <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING SHELTER PLUS GRANT FUNDS IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $458,436 FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND <br />URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY <br />2013-14 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF BEHAVIORAL <br />HEALTHCARE SERVICES TO PROVIDE RENTAL ASSISTANCE TO <br />CHRONICALLY HOMELESS PORTSMOUTH RESIDENTS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a Shelter Plus grant in the amount of $458,436 from <br />the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and appropriates said funds in <br />the FY 2013-14 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the grant funds are appropriated for use by the Department of <br />Behavioral Healthcare Services to provide rental assistance to chronically homeless <br />Portsmouth residents. <br />3. That a local in-kind match in the amount of $114,609 is a condition of the <br />grant. <br />4. That estimated revenues in the FY 2013-14 Grants Fund and in the FY <br />2013-14 Operating Budget are increased by the sum of $458,436. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on April 22, 2014. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
