<br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING 2014 AID TO LOCALITY FUNDS IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $272,472 FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF FIRE <br />PROGRAMS AND APPROPRIATING SAID SUM IN THE FY 2013-14 GRANTS <br />FUND TO SUPPORT FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES IN THE CITY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts $272,472 in Aid to Localities funds from the <br />Virginia Department of Fire Programs and appropriates said sum in the FY 2013-14 <br />Grants Fund. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used by the Fire Department to support fire <br />and emergency services in the City. <br />3. That no local match is required as a condition of the grant. <br />4. That estimated revenues in the FY 2013-14 Grants Fund and the FY 2013- <br />14 Operating Budget are increased by $272,472. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on February 11, 2014. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
