<br />2. That Quarles Petroleum is hereby granted a use permit pursuant to Section 40.1-2.3B <br />of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (2006) for the installation of replacement signage <br />at 2401 Turnpike Road, Portsmouth, Virginia, and being more particularly described as: <br /> <br />UP-13-06 <br /> <br />2401 Turnpike Road <br /> <br />Beginning at the northwest comer of the intersection of <br />Confederate A venue and Turnpike Road, then running north for a <br />distance of 187 feet along the right-of-way of Confederate Avenue, <br />then running west for 264 feet, then running south for 340 feet <br />along the CSX Railroad right-of-way, then running northeast for <br />298 feet to the point of beginning. This property is addressed as <br />2401 Turnpike Road and is also described as Tax Map 456, Parcel <br />6. <br /> <br />3. That the use permit is approved subject to the following conditions which shall be <br />observed by the applicant and any successor in interest: <br /> <br />(a) The proposed signage shall adhere to the location, height and dimensional <br />specifications set out in the applicant's contract with Interstate Sign <br />Company, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A and made a part <br />hereof. <br /> <br />(b) Landscaping shall be replaced at the base of the new sign, to consist of <br />bushes 3 feet on center as approved by the Director of Planning. <br /> <br />4. REVOCATION OF PERMIT: Violation of any of the above conditions may <br />serve as grounds for revocation of the use permit by the City Council. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at meeting held on July <br />23,2013. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
