<br />R-12-18 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION TO EXPAND THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE COMMUNITY <br />POLICY AND MANAGEMENT TEAM TO INCLUDE A MEMBER OF THE <br />TIDEWATER YOUTH SERVICES COMMISSION. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as a result of the requirements of the Virginia Comprehensive <br />Services Act for At-Risk Youth and Families, the City Council first appointed a <br />Community Policy and Management Team ("CPMT") in 1992; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the purposes of the CPMT include the management of cooperative <br />efforts within the City to better serve the needs of troubled and at-risk youths and their <br />families and to maximize the use of state and community resources to that end; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the CPMT has determined that its mission will be assisted by the <br />expansion of the CPMT to include a member of the Tidewater Youth Services <br />Commission. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia that it hereby expands the official membership of the City's <br />Community Policy and Management Team (CPMT) to include a member of the <br />Tidewater Youth Services Commission. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on May 8, 2012. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
