<br />~\ n n.. ~I ~.'. ;'J <br />~"HP" <br />,,11 uJllf . <br /> <br />nt llO <br />LL n. ._.~012-07 <br />--""--_... <br /> <br />ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $410,000 IN <br />THE FY 2011-12 GENERAL FUND OPERATING BUDGET FROM THE FY <br />2011-12 RISK MANAGEMENT AND INSURANCE FUND UNRESTRICTED <br />FUNDS BALANCE FOR LEGAL DEFENSE FEES. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That it hereby authorizes the transfer of $410,000 from the FY 2011-12 <br />Risk Management and Insurance Fund Unrestricted Funds balance to the FY 2011-12 <br />General Fund Operating Budget for use by the City Attorney to pay accrued and <br />anticipated FY 2011-12 outside legal fees incurred in the defense of liability claims <br />against the City and/or its employees. <br /> <br />2. That estimated revenues in the FY 2011-12 General Fund Operating <br />Budget are increased by the sum of $41 0,000. <br /> <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on February 28, 2012. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
