<br />ORDINANCE NO. 200S-29. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING AN INSURANCE SETTLEMENT IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $2,291,732 FROM ST. PAULS TRAVELERS FOR PROPERTY <br />DAMAGE SUSTAINED IN A 2007 HUNT -MAPP MIDDLE SCHOOL FIRE, <br />APPROPRIATING SAID SUM IN THE FY 2007-2008 RISK MANAGEMENT FUND. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That the City of Portsmouth accepts an insurance settlement offer in the <br />amount of $2,291,732 from St. Paul's Travelers for property damage sustained in a fire at the <br />former Hunt-Mapp Middle School in 2007. <br /> <br />2. That estimated revenue in the FY 2007-2008 Risk Management Fund is <br />increased by $2,291,732, and that said sum is appropriated in the FY 2007-2008 Risk <br />Management Fund. <br /> <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held on <br />April 22, 2008. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
