<br />ORDINANCE HO~",1"~~J.1 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $30,000 FROM <br />THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND <br />APPROPRIATING THE SAME AMOUNT IN THE FY 2008-2009 GRANTS <br />FUND FOR THE HAZARDOUS MATERIALS SOUTHSIDE TIDEWATER <br />TEAM. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That the City hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $30,000 from the <br />Virginia Department of Emergency Management and appropriates said amount in the FY <br />2008-2009 Grants Fund. <br /> <br />2. The said funds shall be used by the City's Department of Fire, Rescue, and <br />Emergency Services as lead agency for the Hazardous Materials Southside Tidewater <br />Team. <br /> <br />3. That no local cash match is required. <br /> <br />4. That estimated revenues in the FY 2008-2009 Grants Fund are increased <br />by $30,000. <br /> <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on November 25,2008. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
