<br />c. <br /> <br />New Employees <br /> <br />All newly hired employees will be considered probationary for the first <br />12 months of employment. <br /> <br />Employees should be hired at the minimum range of the pay grade <br />classification. Requests to hire above the minimum will be evaluated <br />on a case-by-case basis in consultation with the Human Resource <br />Management Department. <br /> <br />d. <br /> <br />Promotions - General Employees <br /> <br />When an employee is promoted to a classification one grade higher <br />than the present classification, the employee will receive an increase of <br />5% of the current salary. If the promotion is two or more grades above <br />the former classification, the employee will receive an increase of 10% <br />of the former salary. An employee's base salary may not be less than <br />the minimum or more than the maximum for the grade to which <br />promoted.
