<br />ORDINANCE N0.6..9.Q1.-2_~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $243,925 <br />FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF FIRE PROGRAMS AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2006-2007 GRANTS FUND <br />BUDGET FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE, RESCUE, AND <br />EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR FIRE PROTECTION EQUIPMENT AND <br />TRAINING PROGRAMS. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That the City of Portsmouth accepts a grant of$243,925 from the Virginia <br />Department of Fire Programs for use by the Department of Fire, Rescue, and Emergency <br />Services for fire protection equipment and training programs. <br /> <br />2. That estimated revenue in the FY 2006-2007 Grants Fund budget is <br />increased by $243,925, and said amount is appropriated in the FY 2006-2007 Grants <br />Fund budget. <br /> <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held <br />on March 13, 20m. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
