<br />ORDINANCE NO.~007~1!> <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $45,625 FROM <br />THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL <br />JUSTICE SERVICES AND APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $60,833 IN THE FY <br />2006-2007 GRANTS FUND BUDGET FOR SUPPORT, TRAINING, EDUCATION <br />AND PROSECUTION OF VIOLENT CRIME AGAINST WOMEN. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />I. That the City of Portsmouth accepts $45,625 in funds from the <br />Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services for support, <br />training, education, and prosecution of violent crime against women in the City. <br /> <br />2. That the state monies are conditioned upon a local match of $15,208 that <br />is being provided from the FY 2006-2007 Gencral Fund. <br /> <br />3. That estimated revenue in the FY 2006-2007 Grants Fund budget is <br />increased by $60,833, and said amount is appropriated in the FY 2006-2007 Grants Fund <br />Budget. <br /> <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held <br />on February 13,2007. <br /> <br />Tcste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
