R-06-18 A RESOLUTION GRANTING APPROVAL OF A GROUP HOUSING USE PERMIT (GHP-06-02) TO 725 HIGH STREET, L.L.C., FOR 28 RESIDENTIAL APARTMENT UNITS AT 723 AND 725 HIGH STREET AND 714 KING STREET. WHEREAS, 725 High Street, LLC., pursuant to Section 40-112 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (1988), as amended, has made application for the approval and granting of a group housing use permit for 28 residential apartment units at 723 and 725 High Street and 714 King Street, Portsmouth, Virginia; and WHEREAS, the subject property is furthermore described as: GHP-06-02 723 High Street All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land, with its appurtenances, situate in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, and being bounded and described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at a point on the south side of High Street 180 feet west of the southwest intersection of High Street and Green Street and from thence running west along the south side of High Street eight 8 feet, more or less, to the brick building of S, Lasting; thence south along the line of said brick building 113 feet; thence east eight feet, more or less, and thence north 113 feet to the point of beginning, 725 High Street That certain lot, piece or parcel of land, with the buildings and improvements thereon, and the appurtenances thereunto belonging, situate on the south side of High Street, between Effingham Street and Green Street, in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, bounded and described as follows: Beginning 135 feet east from the southeast intersection of Effingham Street with High Street; thence east along High Street 45 feet; thence south 113 feet; thence west 45 feet; and thence north 113 feet to the point of beginning, It being the same property conveyed to M, M, Crockin Company, Inc, a Virginia corporation by deed from Hyman 8, Lasting and Edna Lasting, his wife, Sol Lasting and Elizabeth Lasting, his wife, Leon Lasting and Kathryn Lasting, his wife, Rose L Kanter, widow, Flossie L Rosen,
