<br />R-06-65 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING ALLOCATION OF FUNDS FROM THE <br />VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FISCAL YEAR 2006-2007 <br />REVENUE SHARING PROGRAM FOR STREET AND INFRASTRUCTURE <br />IMPROVEMENTS AT THE PROPOSED TIDEWATER COMMUNITY <br />COLLEGE CAMPUS IN PORTSMOUTH. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth desires to submit an <br />application for an allocation of funds of up to $1.000.000 through the Virginia <br />Department of Transportation Fiscal Y car 2006-2007 Revcnue Sharing Program: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, these funds are requested to fund improvements for street and <br />infrastructure improvements at the proposed Tidewater Community College Campus in <br />the Victory Commerce Park area of Portsmouth, improvements estimated to have a total <br />cost of $] 2,000,000. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth hereby expresses its support for this application for an allocation of <br />$1,000,000 through the Virginia Department of Transportation Revenue Sharing <br />Program. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on Novcmber 28, 2006. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
